Tamworth Borough Council, working in partnership with Community Home Solutions, are encouraging all eligible homeowners in the borough to apply for free loft insulation.

Letters have been sent to all Tamworth homeowners that could qualify for FREE loft insulation through the Great British Insulation Scheme, who are council tax band of A to D and have 100mm or less loft insulation.

Did you know, 25% of heat is lost through an uninsulated roof? Loft insulation is a great way to reduce your energy bills and make your home warmer.

To find out whether your home is eligible please apply now so you don’t miss out.

How to apply:

Scan the QR code from the letter you receive in the post with the camera on your smart phone to complete an online application, or email: [email protected] or call Community Home Solutions on 0115 718 1822: lines are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Once an application has been received, Community Home Solutions will review to see if your home is eligible.

If your application is approved, you will be contacted to arrange a home survey. You will be given a letter showing the full customer journey.

Work will then be arranged to be carried out in your home using approved contractors in your area.

Councillor Thomas Jay, Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: “During these difficult times when energy bills are on the increase, you may be able to get free or cheaper insulation to reduce your home’s energy bills.

“This scheme is open for homeowners, landlords or tenant (either renting privately or from a housing association), you just need to complete a quick application to see if you are eligible.  If you are a tenant, please speak to your landlord before you apply as their permission is required.

“I would highly recommend residents to apply as soon as possible, this could mean a big difference in reducing your bills this winter.”
