Some of the documents on our website do not meet accessibility guidelines. 

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to fix any of the historical Local Plan documents.

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Siteimprove automated testing runs every 5 days on this website to alert us to most issues. Where practical, we are replacing documents with HTML pages and regular testing will be scheduled.

This statement was prepared on 1 July 2020. It was reviewed on 23 December 2022 and again on 31 March 2024.

This website was last tested on 20 April 2024. The test was carried out using software called SiteImprove on every page of our website with a result of 100% for AA accessibility and on 31 March 2024 by Tamworth Borough Council using Axe on the ten most popular webpages (as the majority of our website traffic goes to the top 10 pages) plus a random sample.
