Supported accommodation

Tamworth Borough Council has 20 self-contained apartments of supported housing for people aged 18 and over who need somewhere to live and extra help through difficult times or a crisis.

The apartments are across two sites in Tamworth which are near to local amenities and public transport routes.

We can support single people, single parent families and couples with or without children, depending on availability. Homes are for a maximum of four people and can’t accommodate pets.

The aim of supported housing is to help prepare people to successfully move on to independent tenancies within two years. We will help you find secure accommodation to move into.

Trained support staff are on hand to help and advise with things like:

  • Claiming welfare benefits
  • Resolving debt and budgeting
  • Support and advice on career options, qualifications and job searches
  • Contacting other agencies on your behalf
